NTE7144
Integrated Circuit
BIMOS Operational Amplifier
w
/MOSFET Input, Bipolar Output
Description:
The NTE7144 is an integrated circuit operational amplifier in an 8鈥揕ead Mini鈥揇IP type package that
combines the advantages of high鈥搗oltage PMOS transistors with high鈥搗oltage bipolar transistors on
a single monolithic chip. This device features gate鈥損rotected MOSFET (PMOS) transistors in the in-
put circuit to provide very鈥揾igh鈥搃nput impedance, very鈥搇ow鈥搃nput current, and high鈥搒peed perfor-
mance. The NTE7144 operates at supply voltages from 4V to 36V (either single or dual supply) and
is internally phase鈥揷ompensated to achieve stable operation in unity鈥揼ain follower operation.
The use of PMOS field鈥揺ffect transistors in the input stage results in common鈥搈ode input鈥搗oltage
capability down to 0.5V below the negative鈥搒upply terminal, an important attribute for single鈥搒upply
applications. The output stage uses bipolar transistors and includes built鈥搃n protection against dam-
age from load鈥搕erminal short鈥揷ircuiting to either supply鈥搑ail or to GND.
