Product Description
The GEM312 is a low-cost, single-chip enclosure
management controller for servers and mass storage
subsystems. It supports the Ultra2 (LVD) speci鏗乧ation and
provides a rich set of features and functions for monitoring
and managing enclosures. The GEM312 supports the SCSI
SAF-TE speci鏗乧ation.
The GEM312 features support for 12 drive slots,
6 power supplies, 6 fans, and 4 digital temperature sensors.

C serial interface and two general purpose output bits
provide additional interface 鏗俥xibility.
Operating con鏗乬uration is vendor programmable,
allowing the use of a single GEM312-based enclosure in a
variety of system con鏗乬urations.
