200 mA DC-DC Step-up
Converter with Dual Low
Battery Protection
NCP1417 is a monolithic micropower high frequency Boost
(step鈥搖p) voltage switching converter IC specially designed for
battery operated hand鈥揾eld electronic products up to 200 mA loading.
It integrates Synchronous Rectifier for improving efficiency as well as
eliminating the external Schottky Diode. High switching frequency
(up to 600 kHz) allows use of a low profile inductor and output
capacitor. Dual Low鈥揃attery Detectors and Cycle鈥揵y鈥揅ycle Current
Limit provide value鈥揳dded features for various battery鈥搊perated
applications. With all these functions ON, the quiescent supply current
is only 9.0
mA
typical. This device is available in a space saving
compact Micro8t package.
