These Thyristor Surge Protective Devices (TSPD) prevent
overvoltage damage to sensitive circuits by lightning, induction and
power line crossings. They are breakover鈭抰riggered crowbar
protectors. Turn鈭抩ff occurs when the surge current falls below the
holding current value.
