Description

The CXD1818R is a CD-ROM decoder LSI with a

built-in Fast SCSI controller. This supports 32脳 speed

playback.

Features

鈥?Ultra SCSI controller (Target mode)

鈥?Maximum transfer speed of 20MB/s (when using

Ultra SCSI synchronous transfer)

鈥?SCSI overhead reduced by executing multiple

SCSI sequences

鈥?Supports SCAM Level 2

鈥?Compatible with CD-ROM, CD-I and CD-ROM XA

formats

鈥?Real-time error correction

鈥?Capable of handling up to 32脳 speed playback

鈥?Multiblock auto-transfer function

鈥?Can read subcode-Q data for each byte from the

sub CPU

鈥?Real-time subcode (R to W) error correction

鈥?Serial transfer of commands to CD DSP

鈥?Connectable with standard DRAM of up to 8M bits

(1024K bytes)

鈥?DRAM bit width selectable for 8 bits or 16 bits
